ADAMSON, Theodore

At the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, June 28th, 2009 THEODORE ADAMSON passed on, at 91 years of age. He was predeceased by his wife Mona (Ferris) Adamson, by his parents Henry and Mildred (Hamm) Adamson and by brother Henry and infant brother Ernest. Survived by sons Wallace (Anna), Everett (Doreen) and Robert (Sherry); by daughters Margaret (Robert) Hatt, Anna Wilson, Linda (Calvin) Ferris and Janet (Alfred) Hovey; by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Resting at the Mill Cove Church of God where the family will receive visitors on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday from the Mill Cove Church of God, Mill Cove NB at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Bell officiating. Interment in the Mill Cove Pentecostal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Church, or charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

AUSTIN, Mary Helen

At the Dr. Everett Chalmer=s Hospital, Fredericton on Friday January 30th, 2009 MARY HELEN AUSTIN  passed away at the age of 92;  Widow of Ivan Austin.  She is survived by her daughter Beatrice (Holly) Reece of Young’s Cove Road NB; by two sons Hank (Cindy) Austin of Lincoln NB and David (Debbie) Austin of Gaspereau Forks NB; by her sister Ethel Marr of Bath NB, she is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Doug, Ashley and Candice Austin.  Predeceased by her sister Mattie Boyle.

 

Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Sunday when funeral services will be held from the First Chipman United Baptist Church, Gaspereau Forks at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Egers officiating.  Interment will be in the First Chipman United Baptist Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.   In lieu of flowers memorials to the First Chipman United Baptist Church or the Pallative Care Unit 3 East of the Dr. Everett Chalmer=s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.  

BARTON, Annie Louise

At the Mill Cove Nursing Home on Saturday April 25th, 2009 ANNIE LOUISE BARTON passed on, at 82 years of age. Formerly of Cumberland Bay, she was the only child of her late parents, Burtum and Maggie (Perry) Barton. She is survived by cousins.

Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Tuesday when funeral services will be held from the Cumberland Bay Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mitchell Foley officiating. Interment following in the Cumberland Bay Baptist Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

BARTON, ARNOLD JAMES

BARTON, ARNOLD JAMES  – At the Saint John Regional on Friday, May 4th, 2007 ARNOLD JAMES BARTON, 87 years of age; Survived by son John AA Barton (Celestine) of Moncton; daughters Susan Wilson (Lester) of Saint John and Annie Capson of Moncton; by six grandchildren; by three great-grandchildren and by brother Harold Emerson Barton of Dufferin Road, Chipman. In addition to his parents Albert and Amy (Jenkins) Barton, he was predeceased by his wife Lena Annie (Bonnell) Barton in 2004, by siblings Stanley, Sidney, Harvey, Robert, Weldon and Walter Barton, Ida Clark, Ruby Estey and Bertha Coughlan.

Funeral service will be held from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church in Chipman on Monday, May 7th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Egers officiating followed by interment in the Lower Range Baptist Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. At 6:45 p.m. a Legion Memorial Service will be held.  In lieu of flowers donation to the Lower Range Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

BARTON, BURNS HAROLD (RICKY) - Suddenly at Dartmouth, on Friday, November 11th, 2005 BURNS HAROLD BARTON (Ricky) by accident at the age of 48 years; Survived by his daughter, Carrie Ann (Shaun) of Moncton, by granddaughter Chloe, by father Eldon Barton of Minto; by brother Garnet and half brothers Craig (Jeanette), Cliff, Bret (Tammy), Glen (Jan) and Ross Barton all of Ontario; by sisters Bonnie (Barry) McNeil of Chipman and Judy Nichol of Minto and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Helen Britton and by sister Nina.  Resting at Chipman Funeral Home until Tuesday when funeral service will be held from the Second Chipman United Baptist Church, Chipman, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Dunnett officiating. Interment in the Red Bank United Cemetery.  The family received visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9 p.m.

BARTON, Frank


The death of  FRANK  (Pike) MICHAEL  BARTON of Georgetown, Ontario, (formerly of Gaspereau Forks, N.B.) occurred at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario on Friday, March 4th,2011 with his wife Norma of 44 years and family at his side.  Frank will always be loved and remembered by his wife Norma,his children, Sharon Barton of St. Catharines, Michael (Kim) of Grimsby and Lisa (Terry) Naugler of Georgetown, Ontario and six grandchildren. Born in Chipman, N.B. he was the son of the late Gerald and Amber (Bishop) Barton. He is also survived by his sisters, Vera Casey of Minto, N.B.,Marita Bishop (Ray) of Oromocto, N.B., Carol Cormier of Chipman, N.B., and Maryann Richard (Ivan) of Amherst, N.S. Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Della Fraser, Eva Andries, and his brothers, Eugene, Jack, Gordon, Roger and Donald. Frank was employed by Baycoat Ltd. in Stoney Creek, Ontario prior to his retirement in 1993 and in 1994 he and his wife moved from Ontario to Gaspereau Forks which they greatly enjoyed together. Frank really enjoyed being with his family, his brothers and sisters, his visits from his friends, especially Wayne who came faithfully each week and his daily walks and trips to town with his buddy Gerald and his trips to Portage Vale to spend the week-end with his cousin Howard. He loved being able to do lots of fishing for brook trout and hunting with his friends each year and spending time in his gardens. He was a devout Toronto Maple Leaf fan for his entire life and never gave up on them although he was teased a lot for his stand. Cremation has already taken place in Georgetown, Ontario but according to Frank’s wishes, there will be a Memorial Service at the First Chipman United Baptist Church in Gaspereau Forks, N.B. on May 14th, 2011 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Reg Ward and Pastor Paul Bannister officiating. Lunch will be served at the Church following the service. Internment in Saint Joseph’s Cemetary, Chipman. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the First Chipman United Baptist Church would be appreciated.

BARTON, JEAN JESSIE

BARTON, JEAN JESSIEOn Friday, September 29th, 2006 JEAN JESSIE BARTON, passed this life at the age of 70 years. Survived by her children, Gregory (Judy) Barton of Echo Lake, Nova Scotia, Sherry (Gary) Barton of Chipman, Pam (John) Robichaud of Saint John and Deanna (Timothy) Chambers of Chipman; by her brother Lloyd (Nina) Fulton of Saint John; by her sisters, Florence (Winston) Quigley of Minto, Zetta Barton of Minto and Cathy (Ivan) Vautour of Bronson, and by seven grandchildren, Bobby, Barbara-Jean, Jamie, Jeffie, Travis, Trevor and Tyler. She was predeceased by her son Robert Barton and sisters Margaret McGlashen and Deborah Craft.   Funeral Services will be held Monday from the Christian Life Centre at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating. Interment in the Full Gospel Pentecostal Cemetery, Minto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Heart Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

BARTON, Murray Clarence

At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 MURRAY CLARENCE BARTON passed on at the age of 81 years. Murray is survived by his wife of sixty years, Doreen (Wilson) Barton and by daughter Carolyn Barton, each of Coal Creek, as well as by son Marvin Barton of Alberta; by brother, Arthur (Leola) Barton of Coal Creek; by sister, Marguerite (Goldie) Power of Minto; by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Angus and Russell Barton and by sisters Freda Forrester and Annie Barton.

The family will receive visitors at the Chipman Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with Pastor Mitchel Foley and Rev. Keith Barton officiating. Interment will follow at the Newcastle Creek Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cumberland Bay Baptist Church or to the Newcastle Creek Extension Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.

BARTON, MURRAY ROBERT – At the Sussex Health Centre, on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 MURRAY ROBERT BARTON, 93 years of age; Predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Lucy (Beak) Barton and by his wife, Cora (Ferris) Barton in 1999. He is survived by seven daughters, Roberta-Betty (Robert) Ryder of Waterborough, Barbara-Bobbie Dugal of Alliston, Ontario, Bertha-Bunnie (Scott) MacPherson of Montague, Prince Edward Island, Dorothy-Patty MacIntosh of Muzzerole Settlement, Carol (Forrest) Eardley of Fredericton, Marlene (Don) Shirley of Chipman and Karen (Allan D’Aoust) of Jemseg; by brother Everett Barton of Lincoln; by sisters Marion Crawford of Minto and Marjorie Hovey of Waterborough; by 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, he is predeceased by a sister Gladys Lewis and brothers John and Bruce Barton.

Resting at the home of Karen Barton at 17 Rte. #715, Jemseg (488-3310) until Thursday when funeral services will be held from the Waterborough Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Price and Rev. Harry Branscombe officiating. Interment in the Waterborough Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of donors choice or Waterborough Baptist Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
