It is with deep sorrow and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Roy Darrah of Oesophageal Cancer at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in B.C. at the age of 59 on August 28,2009. His life partner and 2 daughters were at his side at his passing.
Stephen was the son of the Late Kenneth Darrah and Berdie (Williamson) Darrah of Chipman, N.B. He leaves to mourn, his life partner Juanita Clark of Vernon, B.C., 2 daughters, Allison (Shayne) Findlay and Meredith Darrah of Halifax, N.S. 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Trent Findlay of Halifax, N.B., son of life partner, Aaron Hageman of Sidney, B.C., Sister Janice Darrah of Chipman, N.B., Neice Danielle Darrah Hoyt of Toronto, Ontario. Nephew Shawn Hoyt of Fredericton, N.B., 2 aunts Elenor (Lellie) Duffy and Pauline Darrah and many cousins.
Stephen was born in Saint John, N.B. He grew up in Chipman. Graduated from Chipman High School, where he participated in various activities. He was also a Queen Scout.Stephen worked in the Trucking Industry for the past 40 years in N.B., N.S., Alberta. North West Territories and B.C. Steve had a life long love of animals with many very contented pets over the years. He cherished his time spent at the family cottage at Cumberland Bay, N.B. with family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Chipman Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 2pm. Burial to follow at The Chipman United Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbears are Mancel Fowler, Gerald Chase, Barry Murray and Manford Bishop. Donations in Stephens memory can be made to S.P.C.A. or donors choice.

GARNETT FREDERICK DAYE passed away suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep at his home on Monday, September 20th, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Garnett will always be loved and remembered by his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred; his daughter, Beverly (Bob) MacKenzie of Lower Coverdale; son-in-law Jerry (Karen) Joudrey of Chipman; by his brothers, Clayton (Jeanetta) Daye of Quispamsis and Roly (Marjorie) Daye of Rothesay ; by sisters in law, Evelyn Day and Beth (Ernie) Busson; also survived by Keith and Michelle Day; by his grandchildren, Susan, Charles, Lisa, Garnett, Kenneth, Barbara, Sherry, Crystal and Nicholas; by 16 great grandchildren and one great great- granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Garnett was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Pauline (Granville) Daye; by two daughters Cheryl Dawn and Sherry Lee; by his infant brother Ralph. Garnett has always been very active in his community, his passing will not only be a great loss to his family and friends but also to his church and community.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home until Friday, September 24th, 2010 when funeral service will be held at the Second Chipman United Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Egers officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Interment in the Second Chipman United Baptist Church Cemetery. Gordon Howard Daye passed away on February 12th, 2014 at his home in Fredericton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Fredericton on December 14th, 1938 the son of the late Gordon W. & Lillian (Grant) Daye. He is survived by his loving wife Helene (Durette), his children Darren Daye of Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta and Derek Daye (Penny) of Everett, Washington. He is also survived by his sister Joan Ann (Leslie) Martin, his granddaughter Alexandra Daye and great granddaughter Madison Kylie, his uncle, Howard Grant of Fredericton, N. B. and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Kelley Lynne Daye, his grandparents Howard and Grace (Green) Grant and Charles and Hattie (Hall) Daye, and aunts and uncles.
Gordon and family lived in Montreal for twenty-six years where he was co-owner of Metrocan Leasing Ltd. He graduated from Concordia University with a degree in commerce and shortly thereafter received his C. G. A. designation. After retiring to Fredericton he worked part-time for Bemrose and Kilburn and Walmart Ltd. Gordon was an avid golfer. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. No service scheduled at this time.

DICKIE, DAVID CRUICKSHANK – At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, on Sunday, February 20th, 2005 DAVID CRUICKSHANK DICKIE died peacefully at the age of 78 years; Survived by wife Helena (Knox) Dickie of Upper Salmon Creek; by sons Sheldon (Judy) of Trenton, N.S., Allan (Wendy) of Quispamsis and Dwight (Cindy) of Crossfield, Alberta; by daughter Shawnna and fiance Ray of Saint John; by brother Hugh of Hamilton, Ontario; and by grandchildren Mark, Denise, Sean, Joy, Ryan, Noel and Elizabeth. He was born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, the son of the late Thomas and Rachel (Graham) Dickie. He was also predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. At the Oromocto Public Hospital, on July 16th, 2009 JOHN HERBERT DOHANEY passed on at 86 years of age. Survived by wife, Miriam (Russell), of Chipman; by sons Allen (Theresa) of Rothesay; Michael (Barbara) of Arizona; by daughter Kathy Caron (Terry Keough) of Grand-Barachois; by grandchildren, Patrick, Timothy, Ross, Jacqueline, John, Stephanie, Jason, Michelle, Nicola, Kate, Jeff Caron and Jamie Caron; by sister, Sister Margaret Dohaney (Sisters of Charity) in Saint John. Predeceased by parents William and Susana (Monahan) Dohaney, by brothers George (ww2 RCAF) and James; and by sister Agnes.
John was a Veteran War Radio Operator RCAF. He retired in 1978 as DOT Air Traffic Control Supervisor in Moncton. He was a long time Amateur Radio Operator (VE1PG), Moncton Golf Club member, Beaver Curling Club member, and was an active St. Joseph Catholic Church member. John was proud of his Irish heritage, with quick wit, whom his friends and family enjoyed. Special thanks to friends Carol and Albert Chessie, who helped tremendously during his illness.

BLAKE “Dumpy” VERNON DOHERTY of Chipman passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 1st, 2013. Born in Chipman in 1948, son of the late Purdy and Hazel (Pyne) Doherty. Blake is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Krista, their son, Christopher (Angelina) of Airdrie, AB; beloved “Dumpy”to grandchildren Ava and Gavin: brothers, Murray (Carol) of Chipman, Reid (Lauretta) of Sussex, and Dwight (Kristine) of Moncton; sisters, Rita (Scott) Robinson of Chipman and Treva (Gerald) White of Quispamsis; brother-in-law Kevin (Nettie) Shirley of Calgary; mother-in-law, Geraldine Shirley of Fredericton; nieces, nephews and his dog smoky. Predeceased by twin granddaughters Blake and Ashley; father-in-law, Alward Shirley. Also predeceased by Karen, Jeremy and Taylor.
