SHORROCK, John Richard

At the Chalmer=s Regional Hospital in Fredericton on Monday, January 23rd, 2012 JOHN RICHARD SHORROCK of Chipman, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.  Born in Montreal on September 14th, 1938, son of the late John Willam and Mary Hogan.  John is survived by his loving wife, Betty, Son Donald (Nicole) Shorrock of Oromocto, Karen Shorrock (Brian Richard) of Ontario; grand-daughter, Emma Shorrock and two step grandchildren, Ashley Maxwell and Bryon Richard; four step great-grandchildren, Xavier Maxwell, Abigayle Maxwell, Skylar Richard and Breanna Richard; many nieces and nephews.

Resting at Chipman Funeral Home where funeral services will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th, 2012.  The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Internment will be made at the Red Bank United Church Cemtery on Friday, May 25th, 2012 at 2:00 pm.

Brewster, Marion Briggs

At the Oromocto Public Hospital, on Friday, January 13th, 2012 MARION BRIGGS BREWSTER passed away peacefully at the age of 92; Daughter of the Late Murray and Estella (Briggs) Moore. She is survived by her twin sister, Ruth Bovaird of Cape Cod Massachusetts; sisters, Mabel Ebbett of Woodstock, NB and Phyllis Wilson of Chipman; brother George (Sylvia) Moore of St. Hubert, Quebec; Aunt Ethel Moore of Quispamsis; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Cyril in 1983; brother Allan Moore in 1997; brothers-in-law, Arthur, Roland and Gerald.

Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 when funeral services will be held from the First Chipman United Baptist Church, Gaspereau Forks at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Bannister officiating and Rev. Reg Ward assisting. Family will receive friends and family on Monday, January 16th, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. Interment in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First Chipman United Baptist Church, the Alzheimer’s Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

 

Smith, Anna Lourdes

At the Chalmer=s Regional Hospital in Fredericton on Monday, January 10th, 2012 ANNA LOURDES SMITH of Fredericton, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband by her side. Born in South Nelson Miramichi, daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Dower) Blacquier.

Anna is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd, daughter, Judy Robichaud of Saint John; son Bruce Murphy of Fredericton; step-daughters, Debbie May of Chipman and Daphine Smith of Melbourne Australia; sister Mary (Harim) Smith of Florida; brother Michael (Dianne) Blacquier of Oromocto; step-grandchildren; Hannah, Sam, Zac and Chloe; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, George and Ray Blacquier.

Anna grew up and graduated in Chipman then furthered her education at the Saint John Nursing School. After graduation she moved to Fredericton where she worked as a nurse for 29 years at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th, 2012. No Visitation by request of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
