Stephen was the son of the Late Kenneth Darrah and Berdie (Williamson) Darrah of Chipman, N.B. He leaves to mourn, his life partner Juanita Clark of Vernon, B.C., 2 daughters, Allison (Shayne) Findlay and Meredith Darrah of Halifax, N.S. 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Trent Findlay of Halifax, N.B., son of life partner, Aaron Hageman of Sidney, B.C., Sister Janice Darrah of Chipman, N.B., Neice Danielle Darrah Hoyt of Toronto, Ontario. Nephew Shawn Hoyt of Fredericton, N.B., 2 aunts Elenor (Lellie) Duffy and Pauline Darrah and many cousins.
Stephen was born in Saint John, N.B. He grew up in Chipman. Graduated from Chipman High School, where he participated in various activities. He was also a Queen Scout.Stephen worked in the Trucking Industry for the past 40 years in N.B., N.S., Alberta. North West Territories and B.C. Steve had a life long love of animals with many very contented pets over the years. He cherished his time spent at the family cottage at Cumberland Bay, N.B. with family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Chipman Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 2pm. Burial to follow at The Chipman United Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbears are Mancel Fowler, Gerald Chase, Barry Murray and Manford Bishop. Donations in Stephens memory can be made to S.P.C.A. or donors choice.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr.Kobus le Roux of Vernon for his wonderful care and friendship to Stephen.

LEGASSIE, Merton Darrel

It is with great sadness that on Monday, August 31st, 2009 MERTON DARREL LEGASSIE passed on, at the DEC, Fredericton, at the age of 72 years. Merton is survived by his wife Linda (Hay) Legassie of Chipman; daughters, Sheila (Jeff) King of Chipman, Lora Lee Pullen of Toronto, Joan Legassie of British Columbia and Treva (Bill) Colpitts of Norton; by sons Jeff (Beverley) and Robbie; by brother Vaughan (Dot) and by sister Muriel Ward of Chipman; by grandchildren April, Gary, Treva, Christie, Gina, Matthew, Brandon and Kyler; by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Myrtle (Clark) Legassie, by brothers Lester and Ronald; and by sisters Aleta Heustis and Leona Clark.
Merton was fortunate to retire at 55 years. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed his time in the woods hunting and fishing, as well as biking with his good friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Chipman Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Internment will follow at the Red Bank United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family
SPENCER, John Raymond

At Chipman, on August 5th, 2009 JOHN RAYMOND SPENCER passed on at the age of 74 years. Born in Minto, he is survived by wife, Isabel (Preston) Spencer, of Coal Creek; by sons David and Preston (Charmine) and daughter Muriel, each of British Columbia; by sisters Betty Arnold of Hatfield Point and Clara (Rouvle) Duvale of Quebec and brother Robert Bateman of USA; and by six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Michael and sisters Carol Odagar and Jean Crawford.
Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Monday when funeral mass will be held from Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark Trzop officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A legion service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. Interment in Saint Bridgett’s Catholic Cemetery at Hardwood Ridge.

At Fredericton, on August 5, 2009 GEORGE HARRY ARTHUR ROBERTS passed on, at 82 years of age. Survived by his wife, Dianne (Cusack) Roberts of Chipman; by sons, Barry (Pat) of Lantz, Nova Scotia and Randal (Janet) of Chipman and Chriss (Kimberly) of Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia; by sister Ruth Doucett of Charlottetown; by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. George was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Myers) Roberts; by parents Harry and Emeline (Clow) Roberts; by brothers Ernest, Carl, Nelson and Lester; by sisters Violet MacKinnon and Vera McLaughlin.
Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Saturday when funeral service will be held from the Chipman United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathi Zwicker officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A legion service will be held on Friday at 6:45 p.m. Memorials to Cancer and Heart Foundation, or the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund, would be appreciated by the family. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Milford, Nova Scotia on Saturday, August 15, 2009.
DOHANEY, John Herbert

At the Oromocto Public Hospital, on July 16th, 2009 JOHN HERBERT DOHANEY passed on at 86 years of age. Survived by wife, Miriam (Russell), of Chipman; by sons Allen (Theresa) of Rothesay; Michael (Barbara) of Arizona; by daughter Kathy Caron (Terry Keough) of Grand-Barachois; by grandchildren, Patrick, Timothy, Ross, Jacqueline, John, Stephanie, Jason, Michelle, Nicola, Kate, Jeff Caron and Jamie Caron; by sister, Sister Margaret Dohaney (Sisters of Charity) in Saint John. Predeceased by parents William and Susana (Monahan) Dohaney, by brothers George (ww2 RCAF) and James; and by sister Agnes.
John was a Veteran War Radio Operator RCAF. He retired in 1978 as DOT Air Traffic Control Supervisor in Moncton. He was a long time Amateur Radio Operator (VE1PG), Moncton Golf Club member, Beaver Curling Club member, and was an active St. Joseph Catholic Church member. John was proud of his Irish heritage, with quick wit, whom his friends and family enjoyed. Special thanks to friends Carol and Albert Chessie, who helped tremendously during his illness.
Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Monday when funeral mass will be held from Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Stephen officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7-9 pm. Interment in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. At the Queens North Health Complex on July 11th, 2009 VERA ANN (FRASER) MURRAY passed on, at the age of 89 years. Survived by her husband of 73 years, Ora Murray, of Gaspereau Forks; by daughters, Ruth True, Norma Murray, Doris Robinson and Starr Murray; by sons Kenneth (Gertie) and Merrill (Gabrielle); by brothers Hugh, Donald, Harold (May) and Girvan Fraser; by 9 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Calvin and Margaret (Glenn) Fraser; by sisters Roxie Robinson and Helen Brown; by brother Vincent Fraser; and by two grandchildren.

At the DECH, Fredericton, MARY LOUISE KING passed on, at 63 years of age. Survived by her husband, Clayton of Chipman; sons Troy (Linda) of Chipman and Bobby of Fredericton; by daughter Willa Rae (John) Corey of Chipman; by grandchildren Cameron and Vicki; by great-grandchildren Cohen and Hayden; by brothers Pat (Mildred) Clark of Newfoundland, Dennis (Annie) Clark of Fredericton and Pat (Irene) Collins of Minto; by sisters Sandra Copeland of Fredericton and Patsy (Jerry) McIntyre of Douglas. She was predeceased by her parents Ben and Frances (McAllister) Clark and by infant daughter Melissa.

At the Moncton City Hospital, on May 18th, 2009 JEAN LILLIAN (BETTS) FRASER passed on at the age of 79 years. Widow of Vance Fraser and daughter of the late Marvin and Grace (Robinson) Betts, she is survived by her sons John (Bette) of Sussex, Douglas (Starr) and Stewart (Patty) of Moncton, Stephen of Doaktown; by daughters Carolyn (Glen) MacDonald and Margaret (Paul) MacDonald of Ontario; by brothers Melvin (Maureen) Betts and Lloyd (Lillian) Betts of Doaktown; by ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by brother Francis Betts and sisters, Leola Justason, Doris Storey and infant Elsie Betts.

At Minto, on Thursday, May 7th, 2009 ANDREA LYNN BLYTH tramatically passed at 21 years of age. Survived by her finance, Josh Powers, by her mother Beverley (Jenkins) Blyth of Minto; by maternal grandfather Lloyd Jenkins; by father David (Debbie) Blyth and paternal grandmother Ida Blyth each of Chipman; by brother David (Shawntell) Kelly; by aunt Jeannie (Jenkins) Buchanan of Chipman and uncle Darwyn Jenkins of Ottawa. Predeceased by maternal grandmother Mary Jenkins and by paternal grandfather Andy Blyth.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Saturday. Funeral services will be held from Christian Life Center, Chipman, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday with Rev.
