BROWN, Jane “Rose” – Chipman, NB

Jane “Rose” Brown, beloved wife of Franklin Brown passed away on June 17, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in Limavady Ireland on May 17, 1925 daughter of the late William and Eliza (Hynds) Cassidy. Rose came to Canada on a boat at the age of 3 years old. Rose met the love of her life at 14 years old, they were married on January 1, 1943 and lived their lives devoted to each other. She is survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Franklin; daughter, Judy Gallant and son, William “Billy” (Mary) Brown; sister, Frances Lapham; grandchildren, Sandra (Rod) Austin, Jason (Stacy) Brown and Kevin (Melissa) Brown; great grandchildren, Tiffany (Adam) McNeill, Hayley (Nick) Brown, Jordan Brown, Jackson Brown and Sofia Brown; great-great grandchildren, Lucas McNeill and Rowen Hubbard.

Predeceased by her parents; son-in-law, Joe Gallant; brothers, Alex, Bill and John Cassidy; sisters, Rita Kilfillen, Betty McConnell, Mae Bishop and Sadie Scott; several brothers and sisters in-law.

Rose was a loving and devoted wife who loved her family and home with all her heart. Love Lives On.

Family will receive comfort at the Chipman United Church on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at the Chipman United Church on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 3:00pm. Interment will be in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery following the service.

Donations in memory of Rose made to the Chipman United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
