COOKE, Violet E. – Saint John, NB

Violet Elta Cooke, aged 55 Born in Back Bay, N.B. passed away on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her two children, Adam Cooke and Victoria Britton (spouse Jonathan Britton). Her Grandchildren Aidan Cooke, Sophia Britton, Emma Britton and Alexis Britton. Her Brothers and Sisters, Jean Leavitt, Sally Barry, Gail Gaudette, John Cooke, Burton Cooke, Gerald Cooke. All of her nieces and nephews. Her loving and dedicated partner Bob Wright. She is predeceased by her parents Arnold Cooke and Lois Cooke. Brothers and sisters Rufus Cooke (Andrea), Lawrence Cooke (Linda), Wendall Cooke, Arnold (Junior) Cooke, Janice Green, Constance McVicar and Vance Cooke.

She Loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, spoiling them and giving them treats. She was fiercely strong and helped anyone one she could. She loved to sing and dance, and had a laugh that was contagious. She was an amazing woman, mother, nana, sister and friend. She was a fighter until the end and she will be missed dearly by everyone.

A celebration of Violet’s life will be held at the Sea View Full Gospel Church (195 Back Bay Loop, Back Bay, NB E5C 2W3) at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

My condolences to Violet’s family. I worked at the hospital with Adam and knew Violet from working there as well. She always had such a big smile and always had a friendly attitude that always shone through. I was sad to see she had passed at such a young age. I will always remember Violet with a smile as she took her time to brighten some of my days at the hospital. Rest in peace-Rob
