After a life well lived, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father, Arthur Dupuis. Pape left us quickly on September 9, 2018 in his 88th year. He was born in Bronson Settlement on December 10, 1929 son of the late Clovis (Mary Girouard) Dupuis. He is predeceased by his wife Leona as well as significant others, Diana and Colleen.
He will greatly missed by his sons Alvin (Deborah), Ronny (Diane) and daughter Diane Dupuis; brother Keith Dupuis; sisters, Liza (Rheal) Poitras , Shirley Robb, Carol MacDonald (Fred LeBlanc), Doris (Paul) McAuley. His pride and joy, granddaughters, Julie Dupuis (Jeremie Roy) and Jolyne Dupuis-Cormier (Thomas Daigle); chosen daughter, Linda Clavet; several nieces and nephews.
Arthur is predeceased also by his brother, Rene and his sister Mearl and twin sons.
Arthur started working at a very young age in the coal mines in Minto. He then drove coal truck and went on to become a licensed diesel mechanic with Atlas Construction where he worked until his retirement. Arthur is a member of the Minto County Music Wall of Fame, known around the province for his smooth fiddling.
Arthur will be resting at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Chipman on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 12 – 2:30 pm followed by a funeral mass at 3:00 pm.
Interment will be made in the St. Bernadette Cemetery in Bronson following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the St. Bernadette Cemetery Fund. Arthur’s fiddling days in heaven have just begun.
