It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Stella Haines, our family matriarch, peacefully in her sleep on June 10th, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Stella was born in Fredericton on November 24, 1933, daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Newman) Murray. Stella was also predeceased by her younger brother, Donald Murray.
Stella is survived by her loyal and adoring husband Hazen, whom she was married to for 67 years. She will also be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her three children Susan (Rick) Burns, Donnie (Eveleen) Haines, and Cindy (Marc) Beaulieu. Stella was wonderfully devoted to her six grandchildren Stacey, Jason, Dustin, Shannon, Matthew and Mallory. She was proud to be great grandmother to Emily, Jessica, Jaxon, Taylor, Addison and Kennedy. In addition she will be remembered by her sister Gertrude (Ed) Ferris and her nieces. Stella had many friends at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church and appreciated the guidance of Father Kevin.
Stella will be known for her affectionate and generous spirit. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and looked forward to the visits of the families’ pets. Stella was babysitter to many, enjoyed watching WWF wrestling, enjoyed dinner out, Sunday drives, and attending church. Stella loved family dinners and her favourite holiday was Christmas. Stella always expressed to her family how much she loved and was proud of each and everyone.
A private family service will be held on Monday, June 15th, 2020. The family would like to thank Stella’s granddaughter Stacey, for the constant care and support, she provided her grammie, over the past two months. Donations in memory of Mrs. Stella Haines made to the charity of choice, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
