Betty was my school teacher in grade 8 and my teacher in Sunday School when I was younger. Her mom was my first Sunday School teacher. I have known Betty all my life and have never met anyone who smiled like her. When she walked into a room she brought a large smile and made you feel special. She was a lady who loved Jesus with all her heart and it showed in her life always. I remember her leading the song service each Sunday morning and singing with all her heart. You are with others who have gone on… Read more »

Having worked with Betty for 33 years, I can say that I respected her so much. She loved her family and her students, and in all those years, I never heard her say a mean word about anyone. She was a wonderful example for myself and all her students, who I’m sure remember her for the wonderful person she was. My sincere sympathies to her family.

My sincere sympathy to Betty’s family. On graduating from Teachers’ College in 1971, I received a job supply teaching in Chipman and Betty was there teaching full-time. It was difficult taking over for a teacher in the month of June…having to prepare and mark exams was a totally new and challenging job for me. I will never forget this beautiful, kind, and caring lady who helped me get through that month. Always with a smile on her face, Betty MacDonald with her own heavy workload, was there for me every step of the way. What an inspiration she was to… Read more »
