McKAY, – Margaret I. – Ripples, NB

Margaret Inez McKay of Ripples, NB passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the age of 76.

Margaret was born in Coal Creek, NB on January 15, 1942 daughter of the late John and Vena Small. Survived by her loving husband, Robert; children, Malcolm Hickey (Catherine) of Coal Creek, Janet Hachey of Fredericton, James Hickey of Moncton; Brenda Hickey of Coal Creek, Charlotte Hickey of Minto, Crystal Hickey (Dave) of Chipman; daughter by choice, Tammy Hickey-Davies; brothers, Glen, Edward; grandchildren, Stephanie, Pamela, Gregory, Kimberly, Krista, Brittany, Jarret, Matthew, Mitchell, Brooke and Paige; great-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Colby, Braiden, Allieanna, Declan and Kinley; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by the father of her children, William Hickey; brother, Arthur Small; sisters, Gladys Small and Florence Bater.

Resting at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 7 – 9 pm. A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at the church on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be made in the Ripples Community Cemetery. Donations in memory of Margaret made to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
