SMITH, Jack M. – Chipman, NB

Jack Murray Smith passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Jack was born in Chipman on December 20, 1931 son of the late Willard (Avis Clark) Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Grace; daughter, Kara (Gordan) Butler; sons, Barry Smith, Peter Smith, Hal (Ernestine) Smith and Marty Smith, siblings, Lloyd Smith and Mary Darrah; three grandchildren, Allan Smith (Megan), Karissa Seitz (Sebastian) and Kodi Chessie (Shayna); four great grandchildren, Casey, Isaiah, Alana Smith and Lukus Seitz; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Jack was predeceased by his parents as well as, brothers, Sterling, Bobby, Allan and Wayne Smith; sisters, June Smith, Mabel Knox, Nancy Cole and Sheila Mowatt; and a grandson, Andrew Smith.

Jack loved being a woodsman and a truck driver, he had a passion for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

A private family celebration of Jack’s life will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 4:30 pm with Pastor Patrick Halferty officiating. Interment will be made in the Chipman United Pentecostal Cemetery following the service. Donations in memory of Jack made to the Christian Life Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
